Sardasht County (Persian : شهرستان سردشت ) is in West Azerbaijan province, Iran . Its capital is the city of Sardasht .[ 3]
History
After the 2016 National Census, the village of Nalas was elevated to the status of a city.[ 4]
In 2022, Bask-e Kuleseh and Gavork-e Sardasht Rural Districts, and the cities of Nalas and Rabat , were separated from their districts in the formation of Rabat District . At the same time, Vazineh District [ a] was separated from the county in the establishment of Mirabad County and renamed the Central District .[ 5]
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 census, the county's population was 104,146 in 20,414 households.[ 6] The following census in 2011 counted 111,590 people in 26,546 households.[ 7] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 118,849 in 31,049 households.[ 2]
