Hemne og Vinje Billag is founded in 1937, and in 1973 the company bought the Oppdal-based Trondheim-Orkladal Billag and changed its name to Hemne og Orkladal Billag.
In 2001 HOB merged with Trondheim Trafikkselskap, the municipally owned city bus operator in Trondheim to form Team Trafikk. In 2002 Nettbuss, a subsidiary of Norges Statsbaner, bought Team for NOK 340 million. Since, the city bus in Trondheim has kept the Team name while the operations of HOB have been reorganised in the company Nettbuss Trøndelag AS.[1]
