District in Golestan, Iran
The Central District of Aliabad County (Persian : بخش مرکزی شهرستان علیآباد ) is in Golestan province, Iran . Its capital is the city of Aliabad-e Katul .[ 3]
History
After the 2011 National Census, the villages of Mazraeh [ 4] and Sangdevin [ 5] were elevated to city status.
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population wasAt the National Census in 2006, its population was 89,204 in 21,632 households.[ 6] The following census in 2011 counted 95,462 people in 27,211 households.[ 7] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 97,957 inhabitants in 30,060 households.[ 2]
