Butanserin (INNTooltip International Nonproprietary Name; developmental code name R-53393) is a serotonin 5-HT2 receptor antagonist and α1-adrenergic receptor antagonist which was studied as an antihypertensive agent but was never marketed.[1][2][3] It was first described in the scientific literature by 1984.[1][2][3]
