The 5th Critics' Choice Real TV Awards, presented by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association and NPACT, which recognizes excellence in nonfiction, unscripted and reality programming across broadcast, cable and streaming platforms, were held on June 15, 2023.[1] The ceremony was not held in-person due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike, instead a television special saluting the winners was aired the day after on KTLA.[2]
The nominations were announced on May 15, 2023, with RuPaul's Drag Race leading with five.[3]
