The 1997–98 season was Paris Saint-Germain's 28th season in existence.^[1]^[2] PSG played their home league games at the Parc des Princes in Paris, registering an average attendance of 36,723 spectators per match.^[1]^[2]^[3] The club was presided by Michel Denisot and the team was coached by Ricardo.^[1]^[2] Raí was the team captain.^[4]
