Ο Αντόνιο Ρέι Ντόουσον (γεννήθηκε στις 25 Αυγούστου 1967) είναι ένας πρώην Αμερικανός επαγγελματίας καλαθοσφαιριστής . Με ύψος 2,01 μέτρων και βάρος 100 κιλών, έπαιξε στη θέση του σμολ φόργουορντ .

Ο Ντόουσον γεννήθηκε στο Κίνστον της Βόρειας Καρολίνας και φοίτησε στο Λύκειο Κίνστον .

Κολεγιακή πορεία

Ο Ντόουσον έπαιξε κολεγιακό μπάσκετ στο Κοινοτικό Κολλέγιο του Γκαλφ Κόουστ και στο Πολιτειακό Πανεπιστήμιο της Φλόριντα, με τους Φλόριντα Στέιτ Σέμινοουλς .

Επαγγελματική σταδιοδρομία

Ο Ντόουσον έπαιξε σε μερικούς αγώνες στο NBA κατά τη διάρκεια της δεκαετίας του 1990. Ο Ντόουσον υπέγραψε δεκαήμερο συμβόλαιο με τους Σακραμέντο Κινγκς στις 7 Μαρτίου 1991. Έπαιξε σε 4 παιχνίδια στο ΝΒΑ μαζί τους, έχοντας κατά μέσο όρο 2,3 πόντους και 0,5 ριμπάουντ ανά αγώνα. [1]

Στις 25 Ιανουαρίου 1995, ως μέλος των Ρόκφορντ Λάιτνινγκ του CBA, ανακηρύχτηκε ως ο πολυτιμότερος παίκτης του Ολ Σταρ Γκέιμ του CBA, που διεξήχθη στο Χάρτφορντ Σιβίκ Σέντερ, στο Χάρτφορντ του Κονέκτικατ, αφού σημείωσε 26 πόντους. .

Υπέγραψε δεκαήμερο συμβόλαιο με τους Μπόστον Σέλτικς στις 28 Μαρτίου 1995, αλλά δεν έπαιξε σε αγώνα στο ΝΒΑ με αυτούς. Υπέγραψε ένα δεύτερο συμβόλαιο στις 7 Απριλίου [2] και στη συνέχεια έπαιξε σε 2 παιχνίδια ΝΒΑ με αυτούς, με μέσο όρο τέσσερις πόντους και 1,5 ριμπάουντ ανά παιχνίδι. [1] Ο Ντόουσον έπαιξε επίσης επαγγελματικά στην Ισπανία, το Ισραήλ, τη Γαλλία, τη Γερμανία, την Ελλάδα, τον Λίβανο και τη Βενεζουέλα. [3]

Προσωπική ζωή

Ο Ντόουσον είναι ο μεγαλύτερος αδελφός του παίκτη του ΝΒΑ Τζέρι Στάκχαουζ και ο θείος του πρώην γκαρντ του Πανεπιστημίου Ουέικ Φόρεστ Κρεγκ Ντόουσον . [4]
