Η Παραλία Πολιτικών είναι παραθαλάσσιο χωριό και παραλία στην κεντρική Εύβοια και την Περιφερειακή Ενότητα Εύβοιας.[2]

Γεωγραφικά στοιχεία

Η Παραλία Πολιτικών βρίσκεται στα νότια παράλια του Βόρειου Ευβοϊκού κόλπου σε απόσταση περίπου 10 χλμ. δυτικά από τα Ψαχνά (έδρα δήμου), 22 βορειοδυτικά από την Χαλκίδα και έχει υψόμετρο 5 μέτρα[3]. Αποτελεί την παραλία και το επίνειο των Πολιτικών ενώ είναι παραθεριστικό θέρετρο, ιδιαίτερα τους καλοκαιρινούς μήνες, όπου υπάρχουν πολλά κέντρα εστίασης (ταβέρνες, καφετέριες κλπ) καθώς και ενοικιαζόμενα δωμάτια.[4] Η κολυμβητική ακτή της είναι τμήμα ενός ανοιχτού κόλπου (μήκους 4,2 χλμ.) και έχει νοτιοανατολικό προσανατολισμό. Η παράκτια ζώνη και ο θαλάσσιος πυθμένας αποτελείται από χονδρόκοκκο υλικό ενώ νερά της στα πρώτα μέτρα είναι βαθιά και η κλίση του πυθμένα είναι ήπια. Στο ανατολικό της τμήμα υπάρχει μικρό αλιευτικό καταφύγιο όπου προσδένουν τα μικρά σκάφη.[5] Ως ξεχωριστός οικισμός αναφέρεται επίσημα για πρώτη φορά το 1971 να απογράφεται στην κοινότητα των Πολιτικών.[6] Σύμφωνα με το σχέδιο Καλλικράτης μαζί με τα Πολιτικά αποτελούν την τοπική κοινότητα Πολιτικών που υπάγεται στη δημοτική ενότητα Μεσσαπίων του Δήμου Διρφύων - Μεσσαπίων και σύμφωνα με την απογραφή 2011 έχει πληθυσμό 212 κατοίκους.[7]
