Η λίμνη Μαρεώτιδα (αραβικά: مريوط, μαριούτ) είναι μια υφάλμυρη λιμνοθάλασσα που βρίσκεται πίσω από τη πόλη της Αλεξάνδρειας, η οποία και την εμποδίζει να συνδεθεί με τη Μεσόγειο Θάλασσα. Τροφοδοτείται από τον ποταμό Νείλο. Στις αρχές του 20ού αιώνα, η περιοχή ήταν περίπου 200 τετραγωνικά χιλιόμετρα, αλλά στις αρχές του 21ου αιώνα η έκτασή της μειώθηκε σε περίπου 50 τετραγωνικά χιλιόμετρα. [1]

Πολλά τμήματα της λίμνης αποξηράνθηκαν για την επέκταση της πόλης της Αλεξάνδρειας, ενώ άλλα τμήματα της λίμνης έχουν μετατραπεί σε αλυκές.
