Η Βίγια Άντζελα (ισπανικά: Villa Ángela‎‎) είναι πόλη στην επαρχία του Τσάκο στην Αργεντινή, 186 χλμ. δυτικά της πρωτεύουσας της επαρχίας Ρεσιστένσια. Βρίσκεται στο Γκραν Τσάκο, μια πεδινή περιοχή της λεκάνης του Ρίο ντε λα Πλάτα. Έχει 44.900 κατοίκους σύμφωνα με υπολογισμό του 2019, καθιστώντας την την τρίτη μεγαλύτερη στην επαρχία.[1]

Ιστορία

Το 1908, οι Κάρλος Γκρουνέισεν και Χούλιο Ούλισες Μάρτιν (Ελβετός, γενν. 31 Ιουλίου 1862, δημιουργός του Yerbatera Martin, στο Ροσάριο), απέκτησε τη γη που θα γινόταν η τοποθεσία της Βίγια Άντζελα. Έφτιαξε το εργοστάσιο ταννίνης La Chaqueña SA και αμέσως άρχισαν να εποικίζονται οι παρακείμενες περιοχές.

Punta de rieles και km 95 ήταν τα ονόματα που έλαβε όταν άρχισε να επεκτείνεται. Στις 24 Μαΐου 1910, ως φόρο τιμής στα εκατό χρόνια της Επανάστασης του Μάη, αποφάσισαν να ιδρύσουν ένα χωριό και να του δώσουν το όνομα Βίγια Άντζελα. Πήρε το όνομά του από την Άντζελα Χόστενς, τη σύζυγο του Χούλιο Ούλισες Μάρτιν, ενός από τους δύο ιδρυτές του.[2]

Η πόλη μπορεί να υπερηφανεύεται για ένα από τα σημαντικότερα καρναβάλια της χώρας. Η μεγάλη αυτή γιορτή εκτείνεται από τα μέσα Ιανουαρίου έως τα μέσα Φεβρουαρίου από το 1950.[3]

Καιρός

Ο καιρός της πόλης είναι υποτροπικός, ξηρός το χειμώνα και πολύ υγρός και ζεστός το καλοκαίρι.
