Η Σχίζαλη είναι ημιορεινό χωριό στη νότια Εύβοια της Περιφερειακής Ενότητας Εύβοιας σε υψόμετρο 250 μέτρα.[1]

Γεωγραφία - ιστορία

Η Σχίζαλη βρίσκεται 58 χλμ. ΒΑ. από την Κάρυστο(έδρα του δήμου) και 161 χλμ. Α.-ΝΑ. από τη Χαλκίδα. Ως οικισμός, μετά την απελευθέρωση, αναφέρεται επίσημα το 1835 να προσαρτάται στον τότε δήμο Καρύστου[2]. Σύμφωνα με το πρόγραμμα Καλλικράτης, μαζί με το Καψούρι, το Δρυμωνάρι, το Θύμι, τη Ζαχαριά, την Αμυγδαλέα και την Πρινιά αποτελούν την δημοτική κοινότητα Αμυγδαλέας που υπάγεται στη Δημοτική Ενότητα Καφηρέως του Δήμου Καρύστου και σύμφωνα με την απογραφή του 2011 έχει πληθυσμό 38 κατοίκους[3].
