Πρώτα χρόνια

Η Μπέργκερ είναι η κόρη του μουσικού Γιόζεφ Μπέργκερ και της δάσκαλας Τερέζας Γιάνυ. Εμφανίστηκε για πρώτη φορά στη σκηνή στην ηλικία των τεσσάρων ετών, όταν συνοδεύσε τον πατέρα της στο πιάνο με ένα τραγούδι της. Στην ηλικία των πέντε άρχισε μαθήματα μπαλέτου. Η Μπέργκερ έλαβε επίσης ιδιαίτερα μαθήματα υποκριτικής. Το 1957, κέρδισε το πρώτο μικρό ρόλο της σε μια από τις τελευταίες ταινίες του σκηνοθέτη Βίλι Φροστ. Καριέρα

Η Ακαδημία θα αποφασίσει την δημιουργία των γερμανικών κινηματογραφικών βραβείων σε μεταγενέστερο χρόνο.

Προσωπική ζωή

Η Ζέντα Μπέργκερ παντρεύτηκε τον γερμανό σκηνοθέτη Μάικλ Βερχόφεν το 1966; και έχει δύο γιους, τον ηθοποιό και σκηνοθέτη Σίμον Βερχόφεν (γεννήθηκε το 1972) και τον επίσης ηθοποιό Λούκα Βερχόφεν (γεννήθηκε το 1979).
