Sheel Ganatra
Sheel Gantra (* November 1984) ist ein US-amerikanischer Mathematiker, der über symplektische Topologie arbeitet.
Ganatra studierte von 2002 bis 2006 an der Harvard University, danach war er am Massachusetts Institute of Technology, wo er 2012 bei Denis Auroux promoviert wurde. Danach war er bis 2016 an der Stanford University. Seit 2016 ist er an der University of Southern California, seit 2024 als Full Professor. Er ist Fellow der American Mathematical Society und 2026 eingeladener Sprecher auf dem Internationalen Mathematikerkongress.
Er arbeitet über strukturelle Aspekte von Fukaya-Kategorien unter Verwendung von Methoden aus homologischer Algebra und nichtkommutativer Geometrie. Mit John Pardon und Vivek Shende hat er die gepackten Fukaya-Kategorien von Weinstein-Mannigfaltigkeiten definiert und berechnet und Beziehungen zur mikrolokalen Theorie konstruierbarer Garben hergestellt.
