Die Raninoida sind eine Sektion der Krabben (Brachyura) mit einer einzigen rezenten Überfamilie Raninoidea und zwei fossilen Überfamilien. Die Sektion wurde anhand phylogenetischer Untersuchungen von ribosomalen RNA-Sequenzen etabliert. Es gibt keine einzigartigen morphologischen Merkmale dieser Sektion, sie teilen mit den Cyclodorippoida das Fehlen von Uropoden.[1]
