Die Primeira Divisão 1943/44 war die zehnte Saison der höchsten portugiesischen Spielklasse im Fußball der Männer. Der Ligabetrieb lief während des Zweiten Weltkrieges ungestört weiter, da Portugal sich für neutral erklärte. Gespielt wurde vom 28. November 1943 bis 26. März 1944.[1]

Den Meistertitel sicherte sich zum zweiten Mal Sporting Lissabon nach 1941.

Bis 1948 waren die Mannschaften teilnahmeberechtigt, die sich durch die regionalen Turniere qualifizieren konnten. Auf- und Abstieg wurde erst danach eingeführt.

In dieser Saison nahmen zehn Mannschaften teil. Davon zwei Neulinge, nämlich der SC Salgueiros aus Porto und Atlético CP aus Lissabon.
