NGC 4255 ist eine linsenförmige Galaxie vom Hubble-Typ SB0 im Sternbild Jungfrau auf der Ekliptik. Die Galaxie ist schätzungsweise 85 Millionen Lichtjahre von der Milchstraße entfernt und hat einen Durchmesser von etwa 30.000 Lichtjahren. Unter der Katalognummer VCC 312 ist sie als Mitglied des Virgo-Galaxienhaufens aufgeführt.
Im selben Himmelsareal befinden sich u. a. die Galaxien NGC 4259, NGC 4268, NGC 4273, NGC 4292.

Das Objekt wurde im Jahr 1865 von Auguste Voigt entdeckt.[4]
