Jean Rochereau
Jean Rochereau (* 12. Oktober 1944 in Marrakesch/Marrakesch-Safi, Marokko) ist ein französischer Tänzer und Choreograph.
Leben
Rochereau begann seine Laufbahn als Tänzer Ende der 1960er Jahre bei den Brüdern Françoise und Dominique Dupuy, Karin Waehner und Yuriko (Yuriko Kikuchi). Später tourte er mit Choreographen wie Félix Blaska, Roland Petit, Jean Babilée, John Buttler, Maurice Béjart, Peter Goss, Jennifer Muller, Margo Sapington, Dominique Bagouet, Ingeborg Liptay, Michèle Ettori und Fabrice Ramalingom.
Als Preisträger des Concours de Bagnolet choreographierte er ab 1976 für die von Dominique Bagouet gegründete Kompagnie Les Carnets Bagouet (u. a. Chapeau de paille d'Italie) und später auch für andere Kompagnien. Als Improvisator trat er mit den Musikern um Alain Joule auf, der für ihn die Histoire d’Elze und Porte-fenêtre schrieb. 2024 tourte er mit Ramalingoms Duett Générations mit Hugues Rondepierre. Im Rahmen des Projektes EN/Culture von Françoise Dupuy und Marcelle Bonjour gibt er Unterricht an Schulen und für gemeinnützige Organisationen.
