Die Friedenskirche ist eine evangelisch-lutherische Kirche im Stadtteil Zoo in Hannover.
Die Friedenskirche an der Schackstraße wurde 1927 als Saalkirche erbaut. Im Winkel zum Gottesdienstsaal sind Gemeinderäume und Dienstwohnungen für den Pastor und den Küster angelegt. Bei einem der Luftangriffe auf Hannover im Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde die Kirche schwer beschädigt und nach dem Wiederaufbau im April 1949 erneut geweiht. An der Fassade ist eine 1938 gestiftete Darstellung des Heiligen Georg. Eine Familie stiftete 1949 in Gedenken an ihren im Krieg gefallenen Sohn den Verkündigungsengel “Friede den Menschen auf Erden”, der sich im Fenster über dem Altar befindet.
Die Orgel aus dem Jahr 1953 kam von der Firma Hammer in Hannover. Das Schleifladen-Instrument hat 13 Pfeifenregister auf zwei Manualen und Pedal. Die Spiel- und Registertrakturen der Pfeifenorgel sind mechanisch.[1]
1997 wurde die Orgel generalüberholt und um 31 digitale Register erweitert. Die Spiel- und Registertrakturen der Digitalorgel sind elektrisch.
