DBHCTD ist organische Verbindung.[2] Sie ist sowohl chlor- als auch bromhaltig.

Sie wird als Flammschutzmittel verwendet. In Kanada wurde sie in Innenraumluft und in Hausstaub in ähnlich hohen Konzentrationen wie Dechloran Plus und polybromierte Diphenylether festgestellt.[3]

Eigenschaften

DBHCTD kommt als Racemat vor, wobei nur die Stereochemie der beiden Bromsubstituenten variiert:[4][5]
