Barbara Voss
Barbara Voss ist eine deutsche Diplomatin. Sie ist seit 2026 Botschafterin in Georgien.
Werdegang
Voss absolvierte zunächst von 1986 bis 1992 eine Ausbildung und ein Studium an der Fachhochschule des Bundes für öffentliche Verwaltung im Fachbereich Auswärtige Angelegenheiten. Von 1992 bis 1996 war sie im Referat für bilaterale Beziehungen zu Polen, Tschechien und der Slowakei in der Zentrale des Auswärtigen Amts in Bonn tätig. Daraufhin folgte von 1996 bis 2005 eine Reihe an Auslandsverwendungen am Generalkonsulat in Lagos, an der Botschaft in Daressalam sowie an der Ständigen Vertretung bei den Vereinten Nationen in New York.
Von 2005 bis 2006 absolvierte Voss die Ausbildung für den höheren Auswärtigen Dienst. Anschließend war sie von 2006 bis 2009 als Personalreferentin im Auswärtigen Amt tätig. Von 2009 bis 2012 folgte eine Verwendung an der Botschaft in Tel Aviv. Daraufhin war sie von 2012 bis 2015 Referentin für Wirtschaftsbeziehungen an der Botschaft in Islamabad. Anschließend kehrte sie ins Auswärtige Amt zurück, wo sie von 2015 bis 2019 Referentin im Referat „Internationale Zusammenarbeit gegen Terrorismus“ und von 2019 bis 2023 stellvertretende Leiterin des Referats „Kultur- und Medienbeziehungen Maghreb, Nah- und Mittelost“ war. Von 2023 bis 2026 war sie Generalkonsulin in Kalkutta.
Im August 2026 wurde Voss Botschafterin in Georgien und Leiterin der Botschaft in Tiflis.
