Apollonieis
Apollonieis (altgriechisch Ἀπολλωνιεῖς Apollōnieís) war ein Demos des antiken Athen.
Der Demos wurde erst im Jahr 200 v. Chr. gegründet und der im selben Jahr neu eingerichteten Phyle Attalis zugeordnet.[1] Benannt wurde er zu Ehren von Apollonis, der Ehefrau des pergamensichen Herrschers Attalos I. Mit der Gründung wurde zum zweiten Mal die Anzahl der Demen erhöht, um eine neu gegründete Phyle mit Demen „auffüllen“ zu können. Bei der bereits 224/223 v. Chr. eingerichteten Phylenneugründung, der Ptolemais, hat man dieses Verfahren mit der Gründung des Demos Berenikidai zu Ehren von Berenike II., der Ehefrau und Mitregentin von Ptolemaios III. Euergetes, dem dritten König Ägyptens aus der Dynastie der Ptolemäer, ebenfalls angewandt. Der neue Demos entsandte fünf Ratsmitglieder (Buleuten) in die Boule, die Ratsversammlung der Stadt Athen.[2] Die Lage des Demos ist unbekannt.[3]
