Aimé-Georges Martimort

Aimé-Georges Martimort (* 31. August 1911 in Toulouse; † 20. Januar 2000 ebenda) war ein französischer katholischer Priester und Liturgiewissenschaftler.[1]

Leben und Werk

Aimé-Georges Martimort wurde 1934 zum Priester geweiht. 1937 erwarb er seinen Dr. theol. in Toulouse. 1937 und 1938 studierte er in Rom.

Von 1938 bis 1981 wirkte Aimé-Georges Martimort als Professor für Liturgiegeschichte und als Bibliothekar am Institut Catholique in Toulouse. Von 1967 bis 1970 war er dort Dekan.

1943 war Martimort Mitbegründer des französischen pastoralliturgischen Zentrums in Paris (CPL/CNPL). Dieses Zentrum leitete er von 1947 bis 1964 zusammen mit Aimon-Marie Roguet. Aimé-Georges Martimort lehrte am 1956 gegründeten Institut Supérieur de Liturgie in Paris. Er wirkte als Herausgeber und Hauptverfasser des weltweit verbreiteten liturgiewissenschaftlichen Handbuches L’église en prière („Die Kirche im Gebet“). In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Liturgiewissenschaftlichen Institut Trier war Martimort Mitorganisator der für die Vorbereitung der Liturgiereform des Vaticanum II bedeutsamen Internationalen liturgischen Studientreffen (1951–1960). Aimé-Georges Martimort war maßgeblicher Mitgestalter der vom Zweiten Vaticanum erneuerten römischen Liturgie. 1960 wirkte er als Konsultor (Ratgeber, Berater), 1962 wurde er Peritus (Sachverständiger) der Liturgiekommission des Vaticanum II, 1964 wurde er Berater des Rates für die Durchführung von Sacrosanctum Concilium insbesondere in den Bereichen Konzelebration und Erwachseneninitiation. Als Berichterstatter des Coetus IX (ein Rat) erwarb sich Aimé-Georges Martimort besondere Verdienste um die Reform der Tagzeitenliturgie.
