Die A Grupa 1957 war die 33. Spielzeit der höchsten bulgarischen Fußballspielklasse. ZDNA Sofia wurde zum vierten Mal in Folge und zum insgesamt siebten Mal Meister.

Im Frühjahr 1957 wurden die freiwillige Sportorganisationen (bulg.: DSO) schrittweise aufgelöst und die Vereine erhielten ihren traditionellen Namen zurück.

Modus

Die zwölf Mannschaften spielten an insgesamt 22 Spieltagen, aufgeteilt in einer Hin- und einer Rückrunde, jeweils zweimal gegeneinander. Am Saisonende stiegen die beiden Tabellenletzten in die B Grupa ab.
