Call of the Wild er D-A-Ds pladedebut, der blev udgivet mens gruppens stadig hed Disneyland After Dark. Det blev indspillet i 1985 og udkom 4. februar 1986 via Mega Records.[3]

Det modtog blandede anmeldelser.[3] Albummets genre var mere country end hard rock på deres senere albums, og kategoriseres normalt som cowpunk. Albummet blev nomineret af den norskfødte Frank Marstokk, der var musiker og producer ved Mega Records.[4][5]

Numrene "Malboro Man" og "It's After Dark" bliver stadigvæk spillet til deres koncerter (og er også at finde på deres live album). Sidstnævnte plejer at bruges som lukkenummer.[6]
