Domorodá náboženství

Domorodá náboženství je různorodá skupina náboženství, označovaná též jako náboženství primitivní, tradiční, přírodní, etnická, původní, kmenová, archaická, pohanská (termín tradičně užívaný v křesťanské kultuře), neliterární nebo předliterární. Mnoho těchto náboženských tradic zaniklo, na některé z nich se snaží navázat moderní směry novopohanství a neošamanismus, jiné stále existují.

Domorodá náboženství netvoří jednolitý celek, existují u nich jisté společné znaky. Jsou protikladem univerzálních světových náboženství jako je například křesťanství či islám. Jedná se například o víru v posvátnost určitých míst a objektů, ale i celkově světa a osobního a společenského života člověka.[1] Dále se objevuje víra v četné nadpřirozené bytosti, démony, božstva a duchy předků nebo v neosobní energii jako je mana. Důležité místo má zpravidla i duchovní vztah mezi člověkem a přírodou a také mýty.

Pojem přírodní náboženství souvisí s chápáním těchto tradic jako uctívání přírodních jevů, například nebeských těles, atmosférických jevů, zvířat nebo rostlin.[2] Jako přírodní náboženství jsou takto označována také náboženství takzvaných přírodních národů. V podobném kontextu se k tomuto termínu hlásí také některá moderní novopohanská hnutí.
