„Второ послание на свети апостол Павла до Тимотея“ е библейска книга, двадесет и трета в Новия завет.

Книгата има формата на писмо на апостол Павел до неговия сътрудник и ученик Тимотей. Това е последното послание на апостол Павел и има повече личен характер от първото. Написано е на койне в Рим малко преди смъртта на апостола.

Както и при другите послания на Павел и при това учените спорят за неговото авторство, като някои го приписват на неизвестен ученик на Павел.[1][2] Други обаче потвърждават оригиналното авторство.

Съдържание

Посланието е написано с ясното съзнание, че краят на живота на автора приближава.

Започва с обичаен поздрав [2Тим. 1:1 – 2] и благодарност към Бога.[2Тим. 1:3 – 5] Следват указания към Тимотей за справяне с трудностите и твърдост в опасностите [2Тим. 1:6 – 18] Павел разсъждава над смисъла на страданията и дава насоки за справяне с лъжеучителите.[2Тим. 2:14 – 26]

Споменава се и се описва предстоящата човешка безнравственост, която ще се появи в последните времена.[2Тим. 3:1 – 9]. На това обаче се противопоставя примерният църковен живот. [2Тим. 3:10 – 17]

В последната четвърта глава Павел моли Тимотей да дойде при него в последните дни от живота му и му съобщава да вземе и Марк със себе си.

Посланието завършва с поздрав и благослов.
