Thomas Jefferson (2 d'abril de 1743 (xul.), Shadwell (es) Traducir – 4 de xunetu de 1826, Monticello) foi'l tercer Presidente de los Estaos Xuníos d'América, ocupando el cargu de 1801 a 1809. Foi tamién vicepresidente ente 1797 y 1801, gobernador de Virxinia (1779-1781), y autor cabezaleru de la Declaración d'Independencia de los Estaos Xuníos, asina como fundaor de la Universidá de Virxinia.

Biografía

Jefferson ñació en Shadwell (Virxinia) el 2 d'abril de 1743, según el calendariu xulianu que ye'l que taba daquella n'usu nel Imperiu Británicu, o el 13 d'abril d'acordies col calendariu gregorianu, adoutáu nos dominios británicos en 1752.
