Francisco Javier Ortega Smith-Molina (28 d'agostu de 1968, Madrid) ye un abogáu y políticu hispanoarxentín, secretariu xeneral del partíu Vox dende 2014 y diputáu na XIII llexislatura del Congresu.

Biografía

Ñacíu'l 28 d'agostu de 1968 en Madrid, de pá español (Víctor Manuel Ortega Fernández-Arias) y ma arxentina (Ana María Smith-Molina Robbiati), tien doble nacionalidá española y arxentina.​ La so familia ta fundamentalmente amestada al mundu de l'abogacía. Ye primu del xeneral de división na reserva Juan Chicharro Ortega, presidente executivu de la Fundación Nacional Francisco Franco, con quien Ortega Smith caltién una estrecha rellación. A pesar de ser la so familia residente na zona d'Arturo Soria en Ciudá Llinial, cursó estudios nel Colexu San Agustín de Padre Damián, nel distritu de Chamartín.

Collaborador d'Así, boletín teóricu de la Falanxe Española de les XONS de Ciudá Llinial, en 1986 robló nesta publicación l'artículu «No olvidar», onde Ortega Smith eponderaba entós la figura de José Antonio Primo de Rivera y glorificaba la Falanxe d'enteguerres.

Cursó los primeros años de la carrera de derechu nun centru educativu de Toledo dependiente de la Universidá Complutense de Madrid, rematando y llogrando'l títulu de llicenciáu na Universidá d'Alcalá. Posteriormente se diplomaría pola Escuela de Práutiques Xurídiques d'ICADE.

Fixo'l serviciu militar obligatoriu, formó parte de los Grupos d'Operaciones Especiales (GOES) —los llamaos «boines verdes», un cuerpu d'élite de les Fuercies Armaes españoles—, nel yá desapaecíu COE 13, dientro del GOE 1, que tenía la so sede na base de San Pedro, en Colmenar Viejo (Madrid); tres esti serviciu estrenóse, con 26 años, en política de la mano de Foru, formación liderada por Eduard Punset,​ diendo en 1994 nel puestu 55 de la candidatura de la coalición «Foru-CDS» a les eleiciones al Parllamentu Européu n'España.

Afincáu en Chamberí, desenvolvió una actividá profesional como abogáu.

En 2012 exerció de lletráu de Santiago Abascal Condenel xuiciu na Audiencia Nacional contra unos alborotadores qu'habíen increpao a Abascal nel Ayuntamientu de Llodio va años; acompañaos d'Iván Espinosa de los Monteros, estos trés, xunto cola esposa d'esti postreru, Rocío Monasterio. En calidá de xurista, trabayó nel departamentu xurídicu de la Fundación DENAES (pa la Defensa de la Nación Española»), exerciendo tamién de voceru de la organización.

Miembru fundador de Vox, foi incluyíu en 2013 como vicepresidente provisional de la organización nel procedimientu de rexistru nel Ministeriu del Interior, importante pa la llegalización del partíu políticu, que sería presentáu públicamente en xineru de 2014.

Foi cabeza de llista de Vox na candidatura pa les eleiciones municipales de mayu de 2015 en Madrid, y de cara a les xenerales d'avientu de 2015, foi candidatu de Vox nes eleiciones al Senáu na circunscripción de Madrid, llogrando 34 702 votos. Repitió como candidatu de Vox al Senáu per Madrid nes eleiciones de xunu de 2016, llogrando 26 781 votos.

En xunu de 2016 participó nun actu reivindicativu nel qu'un grupu d'activistes esplegaron una bandera d'España nuna fastera del peñón de Xibraltar; Ortega Smith aportó y fuxó del territoriu británicu de ultramar

Javier Ortega Smith desempeñó dende 2017 un papel como abogáu en distintes instancies xudiciales de l'acusación popular en contra del procesu independentista catalán, participando dende'l so entamu en febreru de 2019 na fase oral del xuiciu nel Tribunal Supremu contra los políticos del gobiernu de la Xeneralidá de Cataluña, procesaos por un presuntu delitu de rebelión, llamada Causa Especial 20907/2017.

Incluyíu como númberu 2 na candidatura de Vox de cara a les eleiciones al Congresu de los Diputaos d'abril de 2019 per Madrid, resultó eleutu diputáu.
