The yeshiva was founded in 2004 by Rabbi Shimon Alster,[1] who was previously a maggid shiur in the Mesivta of Long Beach in Long Beach, New York, for over 30 years.[2] Alster was also the rabbi of Bais Medrash Torah U’tefilla in Flatbush.[2][3] The school is listed as a higher education institution by the New Jersey Office of the Secretary of Higher Education.[4]
