Hi @25 Cents FC, the secretariat is an administrative office or department that assists in the day-to-day functioning of the government, while the assembly is a legislative body where elected representatives debate and make laws. Both are different and not the same. Hello, I'm noticing that you're mass moving a lot of list of minister pages regarding Andhra Pradesh. I'm reverting a number of these page moves, as the previous titles seem more appropriate based on the current scope and information in the articles. The pages are focused on lists of ministers of the departments, not focused on the departments themselves while also including a list of the ministers. @Hey man im josh I have already initiated a discussion on the respective talk page and haven't received any responses in this regard. This, I have moved the same articles accordingly. I've replied at that location, but I've also reverted the list of ministers moves. I haven't objected to the other moves, but I objected to titles that start with "List of ministers..." because these very short articles are strictly focused on that, as opposed to the departments themselves. Perhaps you should consider starting articles for the departments themselves? If not, I encourage you to expand the "List of ministers of..." articles to provide relevant information about the departments. In their current state, they simply mention that the position is the head of the department, and they provide very little other relevant context. I came here to say a similar thing, after moves like [1] which introduced an unnecessary disambiguation. When disambiguation is necessary, such as when the title is vague, we keep the brackets. For example, Ministry of Agriculture (Andhra Pradesh) has the disambiguator because unsurprisingly, a lot of places have a Ministry of Agriculture. On the other hand, there's no point in adding a disambiguator to a non-ambiguous title. I plan to reverse moves which have introduced needless disambiguation. I understand what you're trying to explain Everything after the word "but" disproves this. My point is that the disambiguation is unnecessary because in most cases there are no other articles on Wikipedia with which this might be confused with. In this specific case, there's also Department of Municipal Administration and Urban Development (Telangana) but that appears to be a department and not a ministry.

Regardless, I'm asking you stop mass-moving pages without prior discussion, given that two editors have now complained. You are making things very confusing, especially since you seem to folding the article on ministers into the article on the ministry. At the very least provide an explanation in the edit summary so that other editors don't have to spend a lot of time trying to figure out why you did what you did – we're not mind readers. @Cremastra Both the department and ministry, in the context of Indian states, refer to the same entity. A minister heads a department, which is also a portfolio in the council of ministers and is referred to as a ministry in a political context. Administratively, however, it is termed a department. Therefore, your claim that the department in Telangana and the ministry in Andhra Pradesh are different is factually incorrect.

You asked me to stop mass moving, and I have not done so since (haven't done this as it was notified to me by another user). However, saying that this happened before prior discussion is also incorrect, as I had already initiated a discussion on the relevant Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Andhra Pradesh#Move (series of articles). Since I received no responses, I proceeded with the moves.

Finally, I was informed that it would have been appropriate to mention the relevant discussion in the edit summary so that others could understand. As no one participated in the discussion or showed concern, I initially felt it was unnecessary to mention it. Now, understanding that even those who were not involved may still be interested, I will ensure to include such details in the future. However, I am unsure why your tone seems inappropriate, as it appears you are irritated.
