Family of gastropods
Trochomorphidae is a family of air-breathing land snails , terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the superfamily Gastrodontoidea (according to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005 ). Since 2017, its classification has been revised and it now belongs to the superfamily Trochomorphoidea [ 3] [ 2]
This family has no subfamilies (according to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005 ).
Distribution
The distribution of Trochomorphidae includes eastern-Palearctic , India , south-eastern Asia , Australia and Polynesia .[ 4]
Anatomy
In this family, the number of haploid chromosomes lies between 26 and 30 (according to the values in this table).[ 5]
