The image used in this template for the French language is the flag of the French Republic, not the French language. Clearly, this flag is not a symbol of the world communities who use French even as a first language such as in Belgium, Switzerland, Canada and so on.
Could someone find the image for the Francophonie symbol and adapt it to this template? --CJ Withers20:54, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2006-10-04T20:54:00.000Z","author":"CJ Withers","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-CJ_Withers-2006-10-04T20:54:00.000Z-Francophone_not_French_Republic_symbolism?","replies":["c-XanderW-2006-10-05T01:51:00.000Z-CJ_Withers-2006-10-04T20:54:00.000Z"]}}-->

I added a link to the article Wikipedia:IPA for French to the template. It is succinct and perhaps much more useful for Wikipédiens than the link to the appropriately verbose, complex, and lengthy French phonology article. I believe its addition is very beneficial. Bien amicalement.
