I'm sure someone will think it strange how I spelled out some of the Latin letter names, or why I included them at all. The reason is to help disambiguate letters that look similar between Greek and Latin alphabets. This is meant to be seen at a glance and distinguished. Shouldn't this template also include Proxima Centauri, and maybe even Przybylski's Star? Also, i went through the list, and found a couple of strange names: R Centauri and Centaurus X-3 (Krzeminski's Star) - they both look like they're already using a Bayer designation, but that's not included in the appropriate column within the list. Could someone clear up their statuses? "Centaurus X-3" is not Bayer, and neither is "R Centauri". Proxima Centauri is neither a Bayer or a Flamsteed designation. However, Proxima does have a subsidiary Bayer designation... I don't see why not. A comparable addition has been made to the {{Stars of Taurus}} template, which you could use as an example. The "R Centauri" is a variable star designation while the other is an X-ray source. They could be placed into an "Other" row. Regards, RJH (talk) 22:41, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
