Miss Hargreaves

Miss Hargreaves is a 1940 book by Frank Baker. It was Baker's third novel and his most successful being republished several times. It was adapted for television, radio and theatre.[1]

1950 BBC Television Adaptation

The novel was adapted for BBC television in 1950 starring Margaret Rutherford.[2]

1952 Television Adaptation

The novel was adapted for television in 1952 as an episode of Studio One. It was directed by Franklin J. Schaffner and adapted by Sumner Locke Elliott. Mary Wickes starred.[3]

1959 Television Adaptation

The novel was adapted for TV by the BBC in 1959 as Spur of the Moment.[4]

Stage adaptation

The novel was adapted into a stage play which debuted 1952 at Royal Court Theatre Club in London, with Dame Margaret Rutherford in the starring role.

Radio adaptation

The novel was adapted for radio, with versions by Frank Baker and one by Brian Sibley in 1989.
