Alexandrovo-Gaysky District (Russian: Алекса́ндрово-Га́йский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the thirty-eight in Saratov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,700 square kilometers (1,000 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Alexandrov Gay.[2] Population: 16,855 (2010 Census);[4] 17,763 (2002 Census);[9] 17,003 (1989 Soviet census).[10] The population of Alexandrov Gay accounts for 57.7% of the district's total population.[4]
