The 2024–25 season is the 88th season in the history of Colchester United Football Club and their ninth consecutive season in League Two. In addition to the domestic league, the club would also participate in the FA Cup, the EFL Cup, and the EFL Trophy.

Pre-season and friendlies

On 28 May, Colchester announced their first pre-season friendly, against Maldon & Tiptree.[39] Six days later, a second fixture was confirmed, against Cambridge United.[40] A third was later added, versus Peterborough United.[41] On 3 and 4 July, behind closed doors friendlies against Wycombe Wanderers and Millwall respectively were also added.[42][43]
