The 2022–23 season was the 114th season in the existence of Huddersfield Town and the club's fourth consecutive season in the EFL Championship. In addition to the league, they also competed in the FA Cup and the EFL Cup.
Carlos Corberán resigned as Head Coach on 7 July, just 22 days before the start of the season,[1] with Danny Schofield replacing him as the new Head Coach,[2] but he was relieved of his duties on 14 September 2022, following a run of 1 win in their opening 8 league games.[3] He would be replaced two weeks later by Hertha BSC assistant coach Mark Fotheringham, who signed a deal until June 2025 with the Terriers,[4] but he was sacked on 8 February 2023, following a poor run of form.[5]Neil Warnock would return to manage the Terriers 30 years after originally being appointed as their manager, signing a short-term contract on 13 February, and officially taking charge 3 days later.[6]

^On 2 November, Aarons had his loan at Motherwell cancelled owing to him being injured
^On 11 January, Edmonds-Green was recalled back from his loan at Wigan
^On 11 January, Koroma returned from his loan with Portsmouth early
^On 14 October, Daley had his loan at Gateshead extended for another month
^On 12 November, Whittingham had his loan at Hyde extended for another month.
^On 2 March, Mazfari had his loan at Tadcaster extended until the end of April.
Note: Originally to be played on 24 January, the game was moved on 18 January, with both teams out of the 2022–23 FA Cup, the game was moved to a Saturday.
