The 1920 Pittsburgh Pirates season was the 39th in franchise history; the 34th in the National League.

Regular season

  • Pirates pitcher Babe Adams had outstanding control, allowing only 18 bases on balls in 263 innings pitched.[2]
  • October 2, 1920: The Cincinnati Reds and the Pirates played in the last tripleheader to date and the only one in the modern World Series era (post-1903). Umpire Peter Harrison officiated all three games.[3]
