شيرين دعيبس (بالإنجليزية: Cherien Dabis)‏ (مواليد 1976) هي كاتبة ومنتجة ومخرجة أفلام أمريكية من أصل فلسطيني. عام 2009 قامت مجلة فاريتي بوضعها في قائمة أفضل 10 مخرجين واعدين.[4]

خلفيتها

ولدت دعيبس في أوماها، نبراسكا[4] لأب فلسطيني من جنين وأم أردنية.[5] ترعرعت في أوهايو والأردن. حازت على البكالورياس بامتياز في الكتابة الإبداعية والاتصالات من جامعة سينسنيتي[6] وعلى الماجستير من كلية الفنون في جامعة كولومبيا عام 2004.[7]

أعمالها

فيلمها القصير اتمنى عرض في مهرجان صندانس عام 2007 وحصل على عدد من الجوائز في مهرجانات مختلفة[8] عملت كاتبة في المسلسل التلفزيوني الأمريكي The L Word بين الأعوام 2006-2008.[8] أخرجت باكورة أفلامها الطويلة أمريكا الذي عرض في مهرجان صندانس عام 2009. حاز الفيلم على إعجاب العديد من النقاد.[8] أصدر الدي في دي لهذا الفيلم في 12 يناير 2010[9] وهو يحوي أيضا فيلمها القصير اتمنّى.
