  1. يتم عقده في هولندا، ويشمل ذلك أيضا بونير وسينت أوستاتيوس وسابا ولا يتم عقده في أروبا وكوراساو وسينت مارتن
  2. يتم عقده والاعتراف به في 18 ولاية ومدينة مكسيكو، ويتم الإعتراف به في الولايات الأخرى لما يتم عقده في الولايات التي قننت زواج المثليين
  3. يتم عقده في نيوزيلندا، ولا يتم عقده ولا الإعتراف به في توابع نييوي، توكيلاو وجزر كوك
  4. لم يدخل حيز التنفيذ بعد في كل من أيرلندا الشمالية وسارك، تم الحكم بإصدار تشريع مشابه للزواج كالشراكة المدنية في جزر كايمان. لا يتم عقده ولا الاعتراف به في 5 من 14 إقليما من أقاليم ما وراء البحار البريطانية (وهي أنغويلا، مونتسرات، جزر توركس وكايكوس، جزر كايمان، جزر العذراء البريطانية)
  5. لايتم عقده ولا الإعتراف به في ساموا الأمريكية و عديد الأمم القبلية الأمريكية الأصلية.
  6. درجة الاعتراف غير معروفة. لا توجد حالات فعلية حتى الآن.
  7. يقتصر على حقوق الإقامة للأزواج الأجانب لمواطني الاتحاد الأوروبي

أصبح زواج المثليين قانونيا في إقليم ما وراء البحار البريطانية جزر بيتكيرن منذ 14 أيار/مايو 2015، رغم عدم وجود أزواج مثليين يعيشون حاليا في الجزيرة.[1][2] أقر مجلس الجزيرة بالإجماع مرسومًا لتشريعه في 1 أبريل 2015، ووقع عليه الحاكم جوناثان سنكلير في 5 مايو. وتم نشره في 13 مايو 2015.[3][4][5]
