Die Iguazú-waterval (Portugees: Cataratas do Iguaçu, [kataˈɾatɐʒ du iɡwaˈsu]; Spaans: Cataratas del Iguazú, [kataˈɾatas ðel iɣwaˈsu]; Guaraní: Chororo Yguasu, [ɕoɾoɾo ɨɣʷasu]) is een van die grootste watervalle in Suid-Amerika en geleë in die Rio Iguazú, 23 km oos van dié rivier se monding in die Río Paraná op die grens tussen Argentinië en Brasilië, net oos van die grens tot Paraguay.[1] Noordoos van die waterval is die Brasiliaanse stad Foz do Iguaçu in die deelstaat Paraná geleë, sowat 18 km wes die Argentynse stad Puerto Iguazú in die provinsie Misiones en verder noordwes die Paraguaanse stad Ciudad del Este. 80% van die Iguazú-waterval se oppervlakte behoort aan Argentinië en 20% aan Brasilië.

Die Iguazú-waterval is een van die Amerikas se grootste toeriste-aantreklikhede. Die Argentynse Iguazú Nasionale Park is in 1984 en die Brasiliaanse Iguaçu Nasionale Park in 1987 deur Unesco as wêrelderfenisgebied gelys.[2] In November 2011 is die Iguazú-waterval in 'n openbare stemming aangewys as een van die wêreld se New7Wonders of Nature.[3]

Die Iguazú-waterval is sowat 2 700 m breed, waarvan 900 m sonder watervloei; asook tussen 60 en 82 m hoog.[1] Dit bestaan uit tussen 150 en 300 enkele watervalle, afhangende van die watervlak.[1] Wanneer die rivier tydens die reënseisoen tussen November en Maart die sterkste afkom, vloei 12 750 kubieke meter per sekonde oor die rand van die waterval.[1]

Die naam van die waterval beteken "groot water" en is afgelei van die Guaraní-woorde y [ɨ] ("water") en ûasú [waˈsu] ("groot").[4] Die buitewêreld het die eerste keer van die waterval gehoor toe die Spaanse conquistador Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca op 31 Januarie 1541 daarop afgekom het.
