The Nation adalah majalah bulanan progresif[2][4] Amerika Serikat yang meliput berita, opini, dan analisis politik dan budaya. Didirikan pada tanggal 6 Juli 1865, sebagai penerus The Liberator karya William Lloyd Garrison, sebuah surat kabar abolisionis yang ditutup pada tahun 1865, setelah ratifikasi Amandemen Ketigabelas Konstitusi Amerika Serikat.
