The Frozen Ground adalah film thriller Amerika Serikat yang akan datang ditulis dan disutradarai oleh Scott Walker didasarkan pada berburu kehidupan nyata tahun 1980-an Alaska untuk pembunuh berantai Robert Hansen yang mengintai dan membunuh antara 17 dan 21 wanita muda, menculik mereka dan membawa mereka keluar ke padang gurun Alaska untuk mengubahnya longgar dan berburu mereka.[3] film ini dibintangi oleh Nicolas Cage, John Cusack, Vanessa Hudgens, Katherine LaNasa, Radha Mitchell dan 50 Cent. film ini dirilis pada 19 Juli 2013 di Inggris dan 23 Agustus di Amerika Serikat.

Plot

The Frozen Ground berkisah tentang penyelidikan yang dilakukan oleh detektif Jack Halcombe (Nicolas Cage) untuk menangkap Robert Hansen (John Cusack), seorang pembunuh berantai yang telah membunuh banyak wanita muda.

Hansen sendiri adalah seorang pria dari keluarga terhormat. Setiap melakukan aksinya, Hansen selalu menculik para korbannya dan membawanya ke padang salju di Alaska. Mereka dibebaskan di sana untuk dijadikan sasaran tembak Hansen.

Semua korban yang tewas ditembaknya, dikuburkan disana, namun beruntung ada satu wanita yang lolos yaitu Cindy Paulson (Vanessa Hudgens). Kesaksiannya akan digunakan untuk menjerat Robert Hansen ke meja hijau.[4]
