Popeye si Pelaut adalah karakter fiksi kartun, diciptakan oleh Elzie Crisler Segar,[1] yang telah muncul dalam strip komik dan teater dan televisi kartun animasi. Dia pertama kali muncul dalam komik Thimble Theatre King Features pada tanggal 17 Januari 1929; Popeye menjadi judul strip dalam tahun kemudian.
Di Indonesia, kartun Popeye pertama kali ditayangkan di TPI (sekarang MNCTV) pada tahun 1996 hingga 2000, kemudian pindah ke Trans TV dan ANteve pada tahun 2002. Trans TV berhenti menayangkan Popeye pada tahun 2005, sedangkan antv berhenti menayangkan Popeye pada tahun 2010.
