STANAG adalah singkatan dalam bahasa Inggris untuk Standardization Agreement (bahasa Indonesia: Perjanjian Standardisasi) yang memuat proses, prosedur, syarat-syarat dalam bidang militer umum dan prosedur teknis dan juga peralatan militer antar sesama anggota NATO. Setiap kebijakan STANAG diratifikasi dan diaplikasikan di negara anggota NATO masing-masing, tujuannya adalah untuk membuat suatu prosedur operasi dan administratif juga distribusi logistik yang sama, hal ini untuk mempermudah militer anggota NATO untuk menggunakan logistik dan dukungan yang sama pada saat operasi. STANAG juga memuat dasar-dasar teknis komunikasi dan informasi (communication and information (CIS)) untuk para anggotanya.

Kebijakan STANAG dibuat dalam bahasa Inggris dan Prancis yang mana dua bahasa ini merupakan bahasa resmi NATO yang ditentukan oleh NATO Standardization Agency, kantor perwakilan ini terdapat di Brusel. Di antara banyak dari perjanjian standardisasi ini (kurang lebih 1300 perjanjian) antara lain memuat tentang ukuran peluru (kaliber) senjata api ringan, pemetaan, prosedur komunikasi dan hubungan antar klasifikasi.
