Reinhard Rauball (lahir 25 Desember 1946) adalah seorang politikus Jerman, anggota dari SPD, yang terlatih Pengacara, dan pejabat sepak bola. Ia dikenal pernah menjabat sebagai pemilik tim sepak bola Borussia Dortmund beberapa kali dan juga menjabat sangat singkat sebagai Menteri Kehakiman North Rhine-Westphalia. Selain saat ini menjabat sebagai pemilik Borussia Dortmund, dia juga pernah menjadi Presiden Liga Sepak Bola Jerman sejak Agustus 2007. Dari November 2015 hingga April 2016, dia bertindak sebagai Presiden Asosiasi Sepak Bola Jerman bersama Rainer Koch.[1]

Karir

Pengacara

Rauball, adalah putra dari pengacara Johannes Rauball, mempelajari Teori hukum di Ruhr University Bochum dan mendapatkan gelarnya sebagai Doktor disana pada 1971.[2]

Dia telah bekerja sebagai pengacara di sebuah firma hukum di Dortmund sejak 1976. Pada 1990-an dan 2000-an dia membuat nama untuk dirinya sendiri khususnya sebagai pengacara olahraga, dimana dia mewakili Katrin Krabbe, Nicole Uphoff dan Graciano Rocchigiani serta banyak manajer yang diberhentikan dari klub sepak bola Bundesliga.

Politisi

Rauball adalah Menteri Kehakiman di Nordrhein-Westfalen dari 1 Maret 1999 hingga 8 Maret 1999 under Presiden Menteri Wolfgang Clement.[2] Setelah hanya satu minggu setelah pengangkatannya ke Kabinet, dia terpaksa mengundurkan diri karena dia telah menjadi anggota Supervisor Eurogas yang berbasis di AS pada tahun 1994 tanpa meminta persetujuan seperti yang dipersyaratkan oleh hukum Jerman.

Sepak Bola

Sejak 14 November 2004, Rauball resmi menjadi pemilik Borussia Dortmund, menjalani masa jabatan dalam periode yang ketiganya.[2] Bersama dengan Gerd Pieper dan Reinhold Lunow, ia membentuk dewan BVB. Dalam masa jabatan pertamanya sebagai presiden, 1979-1982, sebagai 32 tahun ia adalah presiden termuda dalam sejarah Bundesliga. Ia juga menjabat sebagai presiden dari tahun 1984 hingga 1986. Ia dianggap sebagai penyelamat BVB karena ia menyelamatkan tim dari kebangkrutan dalam setiap masa jabatannya sebagai presiden, terakhir pada tahun 2005 dan 2006 bekerja sama dengan dua manajer Hans-Joachim Watzke dan Thomas Treß.

Rauball menggantikan Werner Hackmann yang telah meninggal sebagai pemimpin Liga Sepakbola Bola Jerman pada Agustus 2007.[3] Sebagai satu-satunya kandidat, ia terpilih dengan suara bulat dengan suara dari 36 klub profesional. Dia terpilih kembali dengan suara bulat pada 18 Agustus 2010[4] dan 7 Agustus 2013.[5]
