Piku adalah sebuah film komedi-drama India 2015 yang disutradarai oleh Shoojit Sircar dan diproduksi oleh N.P. Singh, Ronnie Lahiri dan Sneha Rajani. Film tersebut dibintangi oleh Deepika Padukone sebagai protagonis utama, Amitabh Bachchan dan Irrfan Khan, dengan Moushumi Chatterjee dan Jishu Sengupta memerankan peran pendukung.

Cerita dan permainan latarnya ditulis oleh Juhi Chaturvedi. Fotografi prinsipal-nya dimulai pada Agustus 2014. Anupam Roy mengkomposisikan soundtrack dan skornya, dan menulis liriknya.

Piku dirilis pada 8 Mei 2015.[3] Film tersebut meraih sambutan meraih setelah perilisannya. Kritikus memuji permainan latarnya, penampilannya, humornya, dan kesederhanaan secara keseluruhannya.[4] Film tersebut juga meraih kesuksesan di seluruh dunia. Dibuat dengan biaya sejumlah ₹420 juta (US$5,9 juta), Piku meraih ₹1,41 milyar (US$20 juta) di seluruh dunia.[2]

Pada 11 Januari 2016, film tersebut dinominasikan untuk Film Terbaik di Penghargaan Filmfare ke-61, serta kategori lainnya, Protagonis utama dari film tersebut Deepika Padukone memenangkan Penghargaan Filmfare Keduanya untuk Aktris Terbaik. Amitabh Bachchan meraih Penghargaan Film Nasional untuk Aktor Terbaik keempatnya di Penghargaan Film Nasional ke-63 untuk penampilannya.

Box office

Piku meraih keuntungan sejumlah ₹50 juta (US$700,000) di India pada hari pembukaannya. Pada hari Sabtu, film tersebut meraih ₹85 juta (US$1,2 juta), menunjukan pertumbuhan sebesar 65%.[6] Pada hari Minggu, film tersebut meraih ₹110 juta (US$1,5 juta), untuk total akhir pekan domestik sejumlah ₹245 juta (US$3,4 juta).[7] Secara internasional, Piku menjadi film Bollywood dengan pembukaan akhir pekan terbesar pada 2015, meraih keuntungan sejumlah lebih dari US$2 juta.[8] Box Office India mengabarkan bahwa film tersebut memiliki "pegangan sangat kuat" pada hari Senin pertama-nya di India, meraih keuntungan sejumlah ₹42,5 juta (US$600,000), dan kemudian meraih ₹400 juta (US$5,6 juta) pada akhir pekan pertamanya.[9] Pada sepuluh hari, film tersebut meraih keuntungan sejumlah ₹530 juta (US$7,4 juta) di India.[10] Film tersebut meraih ₹220 juta (US$3,1 juta) pada pekan keduanya, dan Box Office India memproyeksikan bahwa film tersebut akan meraih keuntungan sekitar ₹800 juta (US$11 juta) secara domestik pada akhir penayangan latar lebarnya.[11]
