PT Perusahaan Perkebunan London Sumatra Indonesia Tbk atau biasa disingkat menjadi Lonsum, adalah sebuah perusahaan agroindustri yang berkantor pusat di Jakarta, Indonesia. Hingga tanggal 31 Desember 2020, Lonsum mengelola kebun kelapa sawit, karet, kakao, dan teh dengan total luas 116.053 hektar yang tersebar di Sumatera Utara, Sumatera Selatan, Kalimantan Timur, Sulawesi, dan Jawa. Untuk mendukung kegiatan bisnisnya, perusahaan ini pun memiliki kantor wilayah di Medan, Palembang, Makassar, dan Samarinda.[3]

Sejarah

Perusahaan ini memulai sejarahnya pada tahun 1906 saat Harrisons & Crosfield asal London mengelola kebun pertamanya di Indonesia, tepatnya di Medan. Awalnya perusahaan ini hanya menanam karet, teh, dan kakao. Pada tahun 1980-an, perusahaan ini mulai menanam kelapa sawit. Pada tahun 1995, perusahaan ini mulai mengelola kebun kelapa sawit dan karet di Sumatera Selatan. Setahun kemudian, perusahaan ini resmi melantai di Bursa Efek Jakarta dan Bursa Efek Surabaya. Pada tahun 2007, melalui Salim Ivomas Pratama, Indofood Agri Resources resmi mengakuisisi perusahaan ini. Hingga tahun 2020, perusahaan ini mengoperasikan 12 pabrik kelapa sawit di Sumatera dan Kalimantan, dengan total kapasitas pengolahan mencapai 2,6 juta ton Tandan Buah Segar (TBS) per tahun. Perusahaan ini juga mengoperasikan empat lini produksi karet remah, tiga lini produksi karet lembaran, satu pabrik kakao, dan satu pabrik teh. Perusahaan ini pun memiliki sebuah pusat riset dan pengembangan yang diberi nama "Sumatra Bioscience" (SumBio) di Bah Lias, Bandar, Simalungun.[3][4]
