Pemilihan pendahuluan presiden Partai Demokrat (Amerika Serikat) 2008

Pemilu pendahuluan presiden Partai Demokrat Amerika Serikat 2008 adalah proses pemilihan delegasi Partai Demokrat, yang akan memilih calon presiden dari Partai Demokrat pada Pemilihan Umum Presiden Amerika Serikat 2008. Pemilihan ini terdiri dari berbagai pemilihan pendahulan melalui pemungutan suara, kaukus dan konvensi di seluruh negara bagian dan daerah AS yang lain. Rangkaian pemilihan ini dimulai dengan kaukus di Iowa pada 3 Januari 2008, dan berakhir dengan pemilihan di South Dakota dan Montana, keduanya pada tanggal 3 Juni 2008.

Calon presiden yang nantinya akan mewakili Partai Demokrat pada pemilu presiden secara resmi dipilih dalam Konvensi Nasional Partai Demokrat pada akhir Agustus 2008, tetapi delegasi yang akan menghadiri konvensi tersebut dipilih terlebih dahulu berdasarkan hasil rangkaian pemilu pendahuluan ini di negara bagian masing-masing. Untuk menjadi calon presiden, seorang kandidat harus memperoleh suara mayoritas dari 4.233 delegasi yang akan menghadiri konvensi, yaitu minimal 2.116 delegasi.

Tokoh yang mengikuti pemilihan ini adalah Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Mike Gravel, Joe Biden, Chris Dodd, John Edwards, Dennis Kucinich, dan Bill Richardson. Setelah berakhirnya pemilihan terakhir, Senator Barack Obama berhasil melampaui jumlah delegasi mayoritas yang dibutuhkan, walaupun belum semua delegasi super telah menetapkan pilihannya.
