Nol-pembakaran

Nol-pembakaran adalah kebijakan yang melarang penggunaan api dalam proses pembukaan lahan gambut dalam bidang pertanian. Kebijakan ini bertujuan untuk mencegah adanya peristiwa kebakaran yang membahayakan masyarakat. Pembukaan lahan gambut yang dilakukan petani sering menyebabkan adanya kebakaran lahan. Hal ini dapat menimbulkan adanya pencemaran udara yang dapat mempengaruhi kesehatan masyarakat di sekitar lahan tersebut. Kebijakan ini telah diterapkan oleh Pemerintah Indonesia sejak tahun 2014.[1]

Penerapan nol-pembakaran sebagai salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi adanya perubahan iklim. Kebijakan ini membantu para petani pada sektor pertanian untuk mengurangi jejak karbon. Dampak dari kebijakan ini adalah Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (KLHK) memberikan tindakan tegas kepada para pelaku di sektor pertanian yang membakar lahan sehingga menyebabkan kebakaran besar. Kebijakan ini juga didasari oleh syarat untuk industri yang berkelanjutan, tidak mengganggu pertumbuhan ekonomi, lingkungan, dan sosial.[2]
